We are from cali....and we were impressed with this local chain. Way better than Chipotle (our chain)!!! I loved the fact that they made fresh wheat tortilla in front of us. This place would be better if they had a fresh salsa bar....and sauces need to be a bit spicer.

This chain is very similar to the Cafe Rio chains, I had chicken tortilla soup which was surprisingly good with an adequate amount of chicken. The broth was served hot and was exceptionally good and had fresh cilanto in it which i love! The portion size in my opinion was a little small but that is what yu get for $3.99 i guess. Contrary to others postings the food service people were cordial and friendly, but i get a little annoyed when the ask, "How is your day going?" like they really want to know??

I enjoyed a pork burrito here last week, and was quite pleased with the portion size, quality of the food, and price. The staff was friendly. No complaints.

Slowwwwww, I'm still sitting 3 cars back in the drive thru and it's almost been 20 minutes

Ok, so my wife called and complained about the lousy service. They apologized and offered her two meals. So......we went back and gave them a second chance. We were hesitant about the drive thru because it was 100 degrees again. We went in to order. The dining room was pretty much empty. I ordered the Saturday special (shredded beef burito) wet. I asked for the tomiltio dressing on the lettuce and burito. It was really quite good. I don't think I would order it wet again, I really liked the tomiltio dressing over it. The service was still a little slow, but the food was good. Will consider trying this place again in the future.

Just an average chain place. We only came here because we left another place. I had the chile verde burrito. It was average. Not as spicy as I would like. The tortilla was fresh as were most of the ingredients. I would come back here again if I was in a hurry and it was the only place around.

As I am from Houston, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of this Latin inspired chain. The shredded beef is delicious. The tortillas are awesome. Putting pico and guac on the outside of a burrito instead of inside is pretty weird, but still delicious. I'll keep this place on the list of good fast food on a road trip.

The food is great. The service was great. Only problem is the drive up messes up on orders and forgets to give you sauces etc... Overall it's a great place with great food.

Just picked up dinner through the drive thru. They have the best chicken tacos. I gave them give stars for the good food and having a drive thru. I wish they were a little faster at the drive thru though.

Nice new and clean place. The food is OK. I had burrito and is was just alright. Payed 9.19 for pork burrito and a medium drink. NOT a good value. I've had better. Sweeter food than Cafe Rio. I probably should have gone there huh!

I'm really surprised by the complaints about customer service for this location. We go here at least once a week and the customer service is amazing. Very quick. Very helpful. The place is always clean. The one time we had to wait for rice, they offered us a free dessert for the inconvenience. I always choose Costa Vida over the Cafe Rio here. And by the way, their Tres Leches is amazing.

Stopped at cost Vidal in Spanish they just opened. Well they were rude and made a mistake and blamed it on us,basically they called us a liar. And started complaining about us before we even got out the door. So it is cafe rio for me and even when they. Are super busy they are still courteous and nice and they do not make you feel like they made me feel there. I was told it is a lot like that and the food is good but there customer service sucks, and they are rude! I will never go back and I will drive longer to go to cafe rio.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
